Can't wait to get your filthy mitts on the great-looking new SUV from Lexus, the NX? Well, the international test drive isn't until the end of June - CarBuyer will be on the scene and deliver the verdict in our typical timely fashion, but until then you can satisfy your NX drive with the online car configurator.
While the car shown is in USA specifications, it should be close enough to our own version as local dealer Borneo Motors has confirmed both the NX 200t and NX 300h models for launch in Singapore. The configurator also confirms the different trims and variants available for the models. Both the NX200t and NX300h will be available in standard or F Sport variants. The site mentiones that the F Sport variants will pack a "mesh spindle grille, new front lower bumper, aluminium wheels, black outer mirrors, exclusive interior color options, ornament panel and sport seats"much like the packages found on the current IS and GS models.
Ten paint colours are available, plus three wheel choices (one 17-inch and two 18-inch choices, one with higher profile tyres) so click on the configurator and start mixing things around to see what you like best. Our favourite? The NX 200t in F Sport trim with 18-inch wheels and Exceed Blue paintwork.
The rest of the site shows other highlights from the new model and some are quite interesting. These include the new version of the Lexus Remote Touch infotainment interface with a touch pad, wireless charging for mobile devices, an all-around view monitor, active display driving instruments, a G-sensor and boost meter, a heads-up display, active cruise control. The NX will of course debut the new Lexus 2.0-litre turbo engine, as well as a newly-developed six-speed automatic gearbox and adaptive variable suspension.
