Looking for luxury? Well, settle into your Eames lounge chair and read more about these seven high-end luxury cars headed for Singapore this year.

SINGAPORE

2021 saw the launch of a whole bunch of high-end luxury cars in Singapore, including the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW iX and Audi E-Tron GT, to name a few.

There’s more to come this year, and if you’d like to feel ten feet tall and can afford the very best life has to offer, well, lucky you. Here are the cars heading your way that will have you feeling like a million bucks.

Audi

R8 V10 Performance RWD

Audi’s 5.2-litre V10 engine – as seen in the Huracan – is arguably still one of the best high-performance engines out there. The R8 V10 Performance RWD comes with a V10 engine that produces 560 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, allowing the car to go from 0-100km in just 3.7 seconds. Dynamic steering is now available for the first time for the rear-wheel-drive R8 which makes the car more nimble and fun to drive. It is slated to reach our shores in the first half of the year costing at least S$750,000 without COE.

BMW

M850i xDrive Coupe

BMW’s updated 8 Series is the first of several new cars that BMW will be introducing this year. The updated 8 Series lineup, includes the Coupe, Convertible and four-door Gran Coupe. BMW has announced a mild mid-life facelift for its 8 Series luxury coupe, with minor cosmetic changes and extra equipment added across the range.

The M850i xDrive gets a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The current M850i xDrive Coupe costs S$577,888 without COE, and the facelifted model is expected to cost around the same when it arrives in Singapore in the second quarter of 2022.

Ferrari

296 GTB

Fun fact: those three numbers on the 296 GTB stand for, 2.9-litre, V6 engine. The 296 GTB packs 818 horsepower and 546 Nm of torque. That would zip you from 0-100km in just 2.9 seconds. In addition, 0-200km takes only 7.3 seconds.

In electric mode, the 296 GTB possesses a range of 25km with a top speed of 180km/h. The Ferrari 296 GTB is expected to arrive in February 2022 with a price of around S$1,200,000 without COE.

Maserati

MC20

The MC20 is an all-new model for the Maserati lineup, and the ‘MC’ in its name refers to Maserati Corse – a signal that the brand will perhaps soon re-enter racing events with a track-only variant of the car.

The MC20 is offered as a two-seater coupe, with a convertible expected to join the lineup later and eventually an electric MC20 will reach production too. The 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine pumps out 630 horsepower. Called Nettuno, the new engine utilizes a unique twin-combustion system borrowed from Formula 1 race cars. 0-100km/h would only take you 2.9 seconds, on your way to a high top speed of 325km/h.

You can expect the MC20 to be available in March this year with a price of around S$748,000 without COE.

McLaren

Artura

The Artura is an all-new model that features a hybrid V6 powertrain and introduces a new platform called MCLA for the British supercar maker. It’s the first plug-in hybrid series production car ever made by McLaren.

The Artura is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 680 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. It takes only 3 seconds to go from 0-100km with a top speed of 330km/h. In electric mode, McLaren says you get a range of up to 30km with a top speed of up to 130km/h.

The McLaren Artura is scheduled to arrive around mid-year, with a starting retail price of just under a million without COE.

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Maybach S-Class

It takes a lot to outclass a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but the 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class does just that. This sedan is a worthy rival to the Bentley Flying Spur or Rolls-Royce Ghost given its number of high-end features.

The S 580 4Matic is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine which is tuned to produce 496 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. 0-100km/h would take you just 4.4 seconds.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 and S 580 have been priced in Singapore and are available for ordering – read our full news story for all the details.

Pagani

Huayra R

The new Pagani Huayra R will feature a 6.0-litre V-12 engine tuned to produce 850 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. That’s 130 more horsepower than the ‘regular’ Huayra.

Newly-appointed Pagani distributor Eurokars Supersports (EKSS) has not revealed how many units are reserved for Singapore as there are only 30 units manufactured worldwide. The track-only car will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022, priced at approximately five million Singapore dollars without COE.
