Inchcape Singapore gains EV competence with the acquisition of AutoInsure, an automotive workshop group that offers expertise in EV maintenance and repairs

SINGAPORE

Inchcape Singapore, which holds the official distributorship for Toyota, Lexus and Suzuki cars here, has announced the acquisition of AutoInsure, an automotive workshop group that offers advanced expertise in repairing and maintaining electric vehicles (EVs).

AutoInsure was established in 2014, and since then has built itself a strong reputation in the industry as a one-stop automotive solutions provider in Singapore. The workshop is the official partner of numerous fleet companies, and is also authorised by 13 insurance companies in Singapore as the official go-to workshop for accident reporting and repairs.

AutoInsure have also built up significant expertise over the years in repairing and maintaining EVs, and is the authorised EV workshop for insurer Allianz, as well as a number of EV OEM distributors. Inchcape’s acquisition of AutoInsure will help it expand its scope into the EV servicing space, as well as reach out to a larger customer base for accident repairs, regardless of make, model or insurance tier.

With this deal, Inchcape will officially take over the location, facilities, and branding of AutoInsure. Inchcape says that the acquisition of AutoInsure will help offer customers greater options in delivering a comprehensive suite of aftersales services in more locations. It will also be able to cater to all car owners, be they traditional retail or fleet customers, regardless of whether they’re driving an internal combustion engined (ICE) car, a hybrid car, or an EV.
