This car, a JAC E-JS1 manufactured by Chinese company JAC Motors, is one of the unsafest cars ever produced. A video uploaded on LatinNCAP’s YouTube channel showcased the car undergoing an adult occupant protection crash test and failing it miserably.

The car was put through the side mobile barrier test, front offset deformable barrier test and a series of other tests to see its durability when going through a collision.

The electric vehicle (EV), coming in with dimensions of 3,650 mm (length) and a height of 1,540 mm, runs on JAC’s new generation e-drive system which produces a maximum power output of 60hp and 150Nm of torque.

The test results are rather worrying given the company claims the EV was built on a high-strength steel cage body with a high-strength steel ratio of 54.5 per cent. It also has a curb weight of 1,180kg, 200 to 300 kilograms heavier than its rivals.

The EV can be seen battered horribly in the video after being put through each and every test. We wonder if the China-based car manufacturer will consider structural strengthening after the results of the testing.
