Peugeot uncovers refreshed E-2008 GT small electric SUV

SINGAPORE

Vantage Automotive has just revealed the revised Peugeot E-2008 GT SUV. Priced at $153,888 (accurate at time of publication), the French automaker’s full-electric B-Segment car receives a revised front-end, featuring the brand’s new PEUGEOT Signature Light. This consists of distinctive three-claw LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), which replace the previous car’s (e-2008… with a small letter “e”) single claw DRLs. Lighting at the rear complements the E-2008’s frontal light signature, comprising three superimposed horizontal double slats.

On the inside, the refaced SUV remains unchanged, retaining its fancy 3D i-Cockpit holographic digital instrument cluster. The 10-inch infotainment touchscreen is paired with piano keys for easy accessing of the car’s functions. Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Screen connectivity are standard. Additionally, safety and convenience features include Automatic hands-free access with walk-away auto-lock, VisioPark 180-degree Reverse Camera, and Lane Departure Warning and Speed Limit Information with Intelligent Speed Adaptation.

The E-2008 with the capital “E” badge, also gets a small bump in power and torque – 136hp and 270Nm, an increase of 6hp and 10Nm respectively. This keeps the E-2008 well within the Category A-friendly COE territory. The battery has also increased from 50kWh to 54kWh, which significantly increases the small SUV’s (official) range from 353km to 436km.

Power replenishment is taken care of via a high-performance 100kW DC / 11kW AC on-board charger. As a benchmark measurement, the DC 100kW charger takes 30 minutes to reach 80-percent from zero.
