Porsche has introduced a new Touring package for the 911 GT3, offering more on-road usability for Porsche’s hardcore track machine

SINGAPORE

If you fancy a Porsche 911 GT3 but find it too hardcore for everyday use, then Porsche has now come up with a solution. The Stuttgart carmaker is offering a new Touring package for the GT3, which introduces elements that will make the car more usable for daily driving.

Here’s all the details about the full-fat 911 GT3

Externally, the Touring package can be distinguished by the absence of the gigantic fixed rear wing, replaced by a more regular retractable rear spoiler. Other design highlights include silver aluminium surrounds around the windows, and a front end that’s now finished in the car’s body colour, instead of black as on the standard GT3. However, aggressive styling elements like the deep bonnet vents and rear diffuser remain.

The interior features less significant changes, and primarily sees many of the materials finished in leather instead of Alcantara, although that can be reversed if requested. There’s also some extra embossing on the dashboard and door panels, but otherwise the interior remains broadly the same as the regular GT3, and the car is still a strict two-seater with no options for rear seats.

Under the skin, the car also remains broadly the same as the standard GT3. This means it gets a 4.0-litre flat-six engine with 510hp and 470Nm of torque sent to the rear wheels. More significantly, customers get the choice of either a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox, or a six-speed manual for those who prefer to row their own gears.

The Touring package is available as a no cost option for customers in Singapore, meaning that it will cost the same as a regular Porsche 911 GT3, which retails for S$724,888 here, before the addition of COE or options.
