SINGAPORE – The completion of a million-dollar makeover will see Kia open the doors to its new showroom this Saturday.

Cycle&Carriage Kia is still at 239 Alexandra Road, but the showroom has been moved to the opposite side of the building, which formerly housed the used car operations of Republic Auto.

At 5,500 square feet in size, the new showroom is 70 percent bigger than the old Kia premises. It has room to display 12 cars, twice as many as before.

The service reception area has also been integrated into the space, and C&C says it is launching new services like 60-minute servicing and a tyre shop with walk-in (or drive-in) service.

But to draw customers to the opening, C&C promises “exclusive opening specials” on new cars, along with aftersales deals for existing Kia drivers. The workshop will offer one-for-one express servicing, but the new car promos will only be revealed on Saturday.

And if you’re interested in the new Cerato Koup, you should definitely drop by. The 201bhp, turbocharged coupe will be previewed at the showroom, ahead of its launch here later in the month.

Family-friendly activities are also planned, like airbrush tattooing, a football competition on XBox Kinect. “Carnival Food” will be served, says C&C. Whether that involves some kind of MPV-related roadkill is anyone’s guess…
