BYD's new Atto 3 variant falls under Cat A COE category in Singapore

BYD's top-selling Atto 3 EV is now even cheaper with a new, less powerful, Category A COE-friendly variant
SINGAPORE
The award-winning BYD Atto 3 now qualifies under category A COE after Vantage Automotive and BYD Singapore introduced a new variant that has a maximum power output of 100kW (134hp). This is substantially less than the initial launch version's 201hp power output, but by putting into the lower category COE bracket the retail price is said to be set in the S$160k region.
"Since its launch in July 2022, the BYD ATTO 3 has garnered much interest among Singaporeans. The ATTO 3 has won multiple Car of the Year awards from various local publications for its overall good value. We wanted to offer drivers more value through the introduction of a Cat A COE variant of the award-winning BYD ATTO 3, while not compromising on the vehicle’s quality and features,” said Mr Anthony Teo, Managing Director of Vantage Automotive says.
The new ATTO 3 variant can travel up to 420km (WLTP-combined) on a single charge and takes under 45 minutes to charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent on a 50kW DC charger, similar to the 201hp variant.
The new BYD ATTO 3 100kW will also be powered by BYD's 60.5kWh blade battery and come equipped with technologies like Stop & Go Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control, an integrated Digital Video Recorder, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DiLink Smart Voice Assistance, and the freshly released BYD App.
“In February 2023, we have sold 193,655 new energy vehicles (NEVs) worldwide. Our aim has always been to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Singapore for a cleaner, greener future. The introduction of the BYD ATTO 3 gives drivers here an excellent option for a high-quality electric car and we are confident it will be highly sought-after,” said Mr James Ng, Managing Director of BYD Singapore.
The BYD Seal and BYD Dolphin are anticipated to launch in the second half of 2023, according to Vantage Automotive and BYD Singapore.
