McLaren gears up ahead of the arrival of the ‘Sports Series’ with new partner Eurokars

SINGAPORE — McLaren has moved on from Wearnes Automotive to new partner Eurokars Automotive, which is now the sole authorised retailer for Singapore.

The English builder of luxury sports and supercars is planning to launch its most affordable models, the McLaren 570S and 540C — known as the new ‘Sports Series’ — this year. The new cars will join its existing models, the 650S and 650S Spider.

“With the range of new products arriving in 2015 and beyond, we are very confident that McLaren will become one of the most valued brands in our automotive portfolio,” says executive chairman of Eurokars Group, Mr Karsono Kwee.

Eurokars currently distributes a wide range of car brands in Singapore. The group handles Mazda, Mini, Porsche and Rolls-Royce here.

The brand new showroom is located at 5 Leng Kee Road. It is currently undergoing renovation and will open in the coming months.

“As the ‘Sports Series’ allows more drivers to experience the thrills of McLaren ownership, this facility will provide the technologically advanced landmark that the McLaren brand is committed to offering in Asia,” says David McIntyre, the regional director for McLaren Asia Pacific.

Eurokars says the new facility will offer “personalised” customer care. In the interim, McLaren customers can continue to receive after-sales service at 12 Sungei Kadut Avenue, with a drop-off and collection point planned at 11 Leng Kee Road in the near future.
