SINGAPORE

Harmony Auto has been appointed by Vantage Automotive as BYD’s newest passenger car dealership. The Chinese automaker, which had recently overtaken North American rival Tesla, as the number one EV brand in Singapore, has been keen on expanding their brand touchpoints. Just a month ago, they inked a deal with five local Charging Point Operators, to offer charging discounts to further entice new buyers, and to bring benefits to existing BYD car owners.

“The opening of the BYD Robinson 77 Showroom symbolises a new era of sustainable mobility in Singapore.” said Mr. James Ng, Managing Director of BYD Singapore and Philippines. “We are excited to partner with Harmony Auto through our distributor, Vantage Automotive, to bring BYD’s innovative new energy vehicles to this dynamic market. This showroom not only showcases our cutting-edge technology but also reaffirms our commitment to providing eco-friendly transportation solutions to customers in Singapore.”

China-based Harmony Auto, which is listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is no stranger to dealing with cars. Back in its home country, they are the distributor of nine luxury car brands, that include BMW, Lexus, Land Rover and Audi among others. They also hold the distributorship rights for five other ultra luxury marques, which include Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Ferrari. Located in the heart of the CBD, at 77 Robinson Road, the new auto showroom is primarily targeted at professionals working in the area.

A highlight of the showroom is its technology corridor, which showcases the internal technical structure of BYD vehicles, and also spotlights the Chinese carmaker’s core innovation, which is the blade battery.

BYD currently has a four-car lineup in Singapore. They include the DOLPHIN small hatchback, the popular ATTO 3 compact SUV, e6 5-seater MPV and to top the range, the SEAL sedan.
