American SUV-maker Jeep’s all-new Renegade readies itself to enter the Singapore car market this year

The Renegade is something of a, well, Renegade for the American SUV brand. It’s actually the fruit of the Chrysler-Fiat pairing and Jeep’s first small SUV.

Based on the Fiat 500X, it’s quite compact at 4.2-metres long with a 2,570mm wheelbase.

Currently Chrysler-Jeep Singapore is still in the process of seeing how feasible the Renegade would be for the local market, but if it is, we’d place our bets on a version with a 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine with 160bhp and a nine-speed automatic gearbox option with front-wheel drive.
