One of Singapore’s largest automotive retailing brands ups its game with convenient long and short-term vehicle rentals directly from the international airport here

SINGAPORE

The 2024 Singapore Motorshow has just ended and buyers are flocking back to the motor showrooms, but for visitors and locals that don’t like car sharing options, the choice of car rental is always an attractive choice. Cycle & Carriage is also projecting an increase of visitor traffic to Singapore and has announced the opening of a new branch of its myCarriage car rental service, with the reception counter located at Changi Airport Terminal 3.

The distributor states that the expansion is part of its strategy to expand its footprint throughout Singapore and to serve visitors arriving here. This is the second myCarriage branch, with the first one being located at the other side of the island at 209 Pandan Gardens.

Customers can view, choose, and reserve cars from a wide range of budgets and brands on the online portal before arriving to collect the car. The location also makes it reasonably convenient for East-siders in Singapore looking for car rental options. A look at the myCarriage website shows that the rental fleet isn’t just restricted to cars that are sold at retail by Cycle & Carriage in Singapore either.

At time of writing, we noted that rentals start from as little as S$90 a day for a Kia Stonic or Mitsubishi Attrage, up to S$580 a day for a Mercedes-Benz S-Class at the top end. You can even rent a van for short-term load-carrying, with the Citroen e-Berlingo costing S$120 per day.

Fancy an electric car experience? You can rent a Tesla Model 3 from S$320 a day. As with all rental services, the daily rate gets cheaper the longer you take it out for.

myCarriage claims that its biggest selling points are the range of vehicle options available, along with the speed that you can rent one for use. It takes as little as two hours from the time you submit the application at the website, mycarriage.sg, to the time you can pick up the car. Every vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and washed before handover.

While the minimum rental period is 24 hours, myCarriage also has long-term rental plans that extend into months, for long-term visitors and people that need the use of a car without the burden of having to actually buy and maintain one.
