SINGAPORE — Singapore Motor Show 2016 finally opens its doors tomorrow, and is promised to be even bigger and better than 2015’s edition, which was held after a long absence.

If you need help deciding whether or not to attend Singapore’s biggest automotive event of the year, or even to zoom in on cars that you really should check out, we’ve compiled this handy list of every car that we’re expecting to see at Suntec.

New releases and Singapore debuts are in bold. Please note that this list is subject to change as carmakers may or may not decide to show off certain models. Volkswagen will be at the show too but declined to comment on which cars they would be showing.

Audi

Audi will pull the covers off a new version of its most popular car, the A4 sedan, as well as the all-new, second-generation R8 sports car.

Hyundai

The Koreans are getting bolder with their designs, and the Singapore Motor Show 2016 is a great place to see this in practice.

Hyundai continues to churn out budget cars that offer plenty of metal for money, like the fourth generation Accent, but the brand’s upmarket aspirations are represented by the Genesis, its BMW-fighter.

One notch below that is the new Hyundai Sonata, a fine example of Korea’s strategy of combining sharp looks with the latest tech.

Hyundai Tucson
Hyundai Santa Fe

Infiniti

Japan’s answer to BMW (albeit with Mercedes engines under the bonnet!) will have a fairly low-key presence at Suntec, but Infiniti’s Q50 comes with Direct Adaptive Steering, an interesting feature for keen drivers.

Oh, there’s also the QX80, a 5.6-litre V8-powered  BFSUV (Big Freakingg Sports Utility Vehicle) which has to be the first giant Japanese luxo-SUV in Singapore since Lexus hasn’t launched its LX model here.

Built on its all new aluminium intensive architecture, the British carmaker is looking to make serious inroads in the premium segment this year with these two new luxe models.

Jaguar XE
Jaguar XF

Kia

Kia’s one of the few brands of the past years to have consistently upped its game in nearly all measurable factors. Currently, Kia’s ranked on Interbrand’s list of the 100 best global brands at 83rd spot.

Kia’s biggest sedan for Singapore, the Optima takes centre stage as it makes its debut at the Singapore Motor Show 2016.
