Foodies in the West rejoice! There is a new unique Korean dining experience in town!

SINGAPORE

15 June 2024 – Renowned three-Michelin-starred chef, Corey Lee, acclaimed for his culinary mastery at Benu in San Francisco, is set to embark on an exciting culinary venture here in Singapore. The new Korean dining concept titled ‘Na Oh’ (which translates to moving from inside out) blends the sophistication of fine dining with the relaxed ambience of casual eateries.

In a bid to make quality authentic Korean cuisine more accessible, Lee plans to take advantage of local ingredients, to craft exquisite dishes. This is where the partnership with Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore (HMGICS) is fundamental.

The dishes at Na Oh will be curated meticulously, using ingredients sourced from HMGICS’s very own vertical smart farm. This innovative farm cultivates up to nine diverse crops, that include – ice plant, red coral lettuce, swiss chard, mustard, kale, romaine lettuce and mizuna. This ensures a distinctive seed-to table journey, while highlighting the freshest produce in each dish. Lee will fuse certain traditional culinary techniques such as fermentation and preservation, with modern techniques using various seasonal ingredients full of ‘’natural’’ energy.

Diners will be presented with a 4-course prix fixe menu, with the option to choose the Jinjitsang – a traditional Korean meal setting served with accompaniments. Chef Lee’s summer menu reflects his innovative take on traditional Korean fare, featuring dishes like Samgyetang- a cherished Korean summer delicacy, featuring ginseng-infused stuffed chicken, which promises to revive nostalgia with its homemade broth; and Naengmyun, a dish of made-to-order buckwheat noodles, bathed in a cold broth, derived from Dongchimi and long-simmered beef stock, which is then topped with thinly-sliced, sea-salt-cured beef strip loin – a delightful twist on a beloved Korean classic.

Na Oh will be open to the public on 15 June 2024, operating from Wednesdays to Sundays, for lunch and dinner service. Reservations are recommended!
