Land Transport Authority (LTA) will raise the sum for 25 vehicle-related fees for Singapore, including the registration fee which increases from S$220 to S$350

Record COE prices, increased ARF taxes, and now fee increases across the board. It looks like a Merry Christmas – not for car buyers, but for the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

As first reported in The Straits Times, the LTA will increase its vehicle-related fees – 25 of them in total, including fees for COE transfers, homologation, vehicle recall notices and more – beginning December 19, 2022. The fee hikes will range from 10 to 25 percent, but the most notable is the registration fee, which rockets more than 50 percent, from S$220, to S$350.

This news was revealed in a letter to motor traders on December 5, 2022, but apparently has not been officially made public as there is no corresponding announcement on the LTA’s official channel, nor is there any indication of the fee increases on the LTA’s user portal, One Motoring.
