Hyundai has opened bidding for these limited edition units, with proceeds going towards the President’s Challenge

Hyundai Motor Company have launched the locally-made Ioniq 5 with a limited edition first 100 units. These are the first Singapore-made EVs and produced at the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre in Singapore (HMGICS).
These limited edition units come with a commemorative ‘EVS’ license plate numbered through to 100. The first one is on display now at the Singapore Motor Show, at Suntec City Convention Centre.
The cars also include unique ‘First 100’ car badges, and come in the shade Gravity Gold Matte, with Dark Pebble Grey interiors.
Seating in the interior also feature debased seats with commemorative designs. To meet the needs of the Singapore market, Hyundai has also developed the battery of the car further to meet Cat A COE requirements.
Alongside the Ioniq 5 being the first EVs made in Singapore, HMGICS is also Singapore’s first and only EV production smart facility.
Having won the 2022 World Car of the Year award, the Ioniq 5 is the brand’s pioneer EV, and supports 800V charging technology.
The ‘Ioniq 5 First 100’ units are available via auction, with proceeds benefitting the President’s Challenge charity auction. These units will start at S$147,800 excluding COE and license plate. The commemorative EVS number plates will also be available for bidding and full proceeds from the auction will go towards the President’s Challenge.
Bidding is now open, and will last until 19 January, or as long as available Vehicle Registration Numbers remain. The minimum bid starts at S$1,000, as a refundable deposit. Highest bidders will receive the commemorative ‘EVS’ license plate, and proceeded of the bidding will go towards the President’s Challenge. More details on the auction are available here.
Owners of these first 100 units will also have access to a dedicated program organised by Hyundai. Pre-booking for purchases of the locally-made Ioniq 5 are also now open on the HMGICS website, with Hyundai donating S$500 to the President’s Challenge for every booking.
