Tesla has announced price adjustments for its range in Singapore, with cars like the Model 3 now up to 5 percent more affordable than before

SINGAPORE

Tesla Singapore has announced a price update for its models in Singapore, with prices being reduced by up to 5 percent. The most affordable Tesla is now the Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive, which is retailing for S$75,990 without COE, down from S$79,990 previously.

The Model 3 Performance, meanwhile, also sees a 5 percent decrease in its price, and is now going for S$94,990 without COE, with the car previously retailing at S$99,990.

The Model Y SUV meanwhile gets a slightly lower price decrease, with the Model Y Rear Wheel Drive seeing a 4.35 percent price drop, from S$91,990 to S$87,990 without COE. The Model Y Performance gets a 4.5 percent reduction, from S$110,900 to S$105,990, excluding COE.

CORRECTION: It has been pointed out that the above quoted prices exclude the Additional Registration Fee (ARF). With the ARF, and other additional taxes, added, the prices are below after taking into account the relevant Vehicular Emission Scheme (VES) and Early EV Adopter Incentive (EEAI) rebates:

Tesla adds that all customers are also eligible for a COE incentive rebate of up to S$3,500, but with Category B COE premiums (the only category that Tesla cars are eligible for) now nearly at S$120,000 each, the cheapest Tesla will still cost over S$200,000 to put on the road. This is despite the fact that Tesla models are eligible for the EV Early Adoption Incentive and Vehicular Emission Schemes (VES), which offers rebates of up to S$45,000 off the car’s additional registration fee (ARF).
