Derryn says: Alpine brought something new to the performance coupe world with the A110, and even with just minor changes for 2022, it’s still an all-round brilliant driver’s car.

Audi RS 3 Sportback

As with the generations before, Audi’s latest RS 3 Sportback blends usable everyday performance with a hidden monstrous personality that will blow the sock off unsuspecting rivals.

Ben says: Beneath its practical hatchback body hides a truly wild monster that is capable of delivering endless driving thrills if you’re up for it. The RS 3 is truly an insanely entertaining performance machine.

BMW i4 eDrive40

BMW has a serious history of making fun, dynamic cars, even if most mainstreamers in SIngapore mistake them for just another luxury brand. Keen driving character and pricing puts BMW’s first electric sedan in a strong position in Singapore.

Lionel says: BMW says that this isn’t a real sports sedan, but it sure behaves like one and is very fun to sling through corners with its deftly balanced chassis.

BMW M240i Coupe

The sort of car that flies under the radar of most mainstream car buyers, but BMW’s small, hot two-door version of the 2 Series is the sort of driving experience enthusiasts love.

In an era when the rear-wheel drive, small sports coupe is becoming a rarity, BMW doubled down with the two-door 2 Series that still strikes a great balance as fairly practical for childless people who want proper driving thrills.

Stratospherically out of reach for almost all of us, but it’s a Ferrari and the Prancing Horse’s new plug-in V6 is every bit the sports car you want it to be.
