With a modern new showroom and a fresh model offering, Smart, Mercedes-Benz and Geely collaboration is poised for a strong start.

SINGAPORE

Cycle and Carriage Singapore (C&C) opened their new Smart showroom on the third level of the C&C Mercedes-Benz Centre at 301 Alexandra Road on 10 September.

The venue, previously home to the AMG Performance Centre, now features the Smart #1 model, which was launched earlier this year, as well as the newest addition to the lineup – the Smart #3. The new showroom is filled with natural light and designed with a minimalist approach. Furthermore, visitors can also purchase Smart-branded merchandise and paint swatches from the showroom.

The #1, a B-segment electric SUV which made its debut in May this year, piqued public interest, with its distinctive pistachio-coloured paintwork, as shown here.

The new Smart #3, which is the next vehicle in their current-day lineup, is a larger C-segment Coupe-inspired Crossover, offering more space for rear passengers, and features a sportier design with a sleeker, sloped roofline for improved aerodynamics. It also comes equipped with a halo roof and an AI-integrated infotainment system. Crafted by the Mercedes-Benz Global Design Team, the Smart #3 takes the “Sensual Product’’ design philosophy to a sportier level, featuring sleek lines and athletic curves.

Inside the #3, you get a 12.8-inch central infotainment system that provides creature comforts such as multiple ambient lighting options and an AI-powered voice assistant system. Awarded 5 stars in the Euro NCAP tests in 2023, the #3 comes equipped with smart Pilot Assist, which includes 18 advanced driving assistance features. These technologies offer superior detection and reaction capabilities, ensuring a safer drive in urban traffic situations, such as navigating around bicycles or motorbikes.

Like with the #1, the Smart #3 is available in two variants – the Pro+ and the BRABUS. The Pro+, with 264hp and 343Nm, completes the century sprint in 5.8-seconds. The BRABUS on the other hand, has 416hp and 543Nm, achieves 0-100 in a blistering 3.7-seconds. The Smart #3 achieves a 10-80% charge in under 30 minutes and offers decently-good range as well – 435km for the Pro+ model, and 415km for the BRABUS variant.

Wilfrid Foo, Managing Director for C&C Singapore, expressed optimism about the brand’s future in Singapore, noting “With the rising demand for EVs, Smart Singapore will continue to offer a diverse range of vehicles that cater to various customer needs and lifestyles. The new showroom also broadens our premium offerings, bringing everything together under one roof and streamlining the shopping experience for consumers.’’

Operating hours for the new showroom will be from 8:30am to 7pm daily apart from Sunday, which will be from 10am to 6pm. Prices for the Smart #3 start at S$223,000 and S$267,000 for the Pro+ and BRABUS variants respectively.
