Lexus’ flagship luxury SUV sees three out of four powertrains making their way here – namely the 350h Executive/Luxury, the 450h+ Luxury, and the 500h Luxury. Back in September of 2022, Ju-Len had go behind the wheel of the 350h in California, but it’s worth noting that Borneo is bringing in only the hybrids, with even the 450h+ plug-in hybrid available. Pricing is TBC but Lexus’ website places the 350h from S$412,800.

Previewed at the Singapore Motor Show 2023, the RZ 450e is the brand’s first-ever fully-electric model line. Built on a dedicated all-electric platform, the RZ 450e gets a dual-motor engine that pushes 308hp and 435Nm of torque, with a century sprint of 5.6 seconds. Its quoted range is also 362km. There’s no official pricing details, but you can expect the car in Q2 of this year.

The Lotus Emira, the brand’s last petrol engine hurrah, was also unveiled at the Singapore Motorshow and is expected to cost around S$450,000 without COE.

How much: Maserati’s first mid-sized SUV, the Grecale is confirmed for launch here in Singapore in Q1, with the GT and Modena variants making their way here. Both are mild hybrids with a 2.0-litre engine pushing 330hp and 450Nm of torque.

Mazda’s first all-electric, series production crossover SUV was unveiled at the 2019 Tokyo Motorshow and arrived in Singapore for a preview at the 2023 Singapore Motorshow. The car features a 35kWh battery pack and front-opening rear doors that were previously found on the Mazda RX-8 coupe. The first batch of deliveries at expected in February 2023. The Singapore specification cars will have a power output of 143hp and a maximum range per charge of 224km.

Mercedes-Benz’s iconic SL roadster returns, now as a fully-fledged AMG model. For the first time, the SL is a 2+2, with two (tiny) rear seats, and there are two variants available at launch. The SL 43 will use a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder with 381hp, while the SL 55 will boast a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 with 476hp on tap.

The MG 4 is MG’s latest electric hatchback, and it features a unique rear-wheel-drive setup with 50:50 weight distribution, promising entertaining drivability. The car delivers 201hp and 250Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, while the MG4 also has a claimed range of 450km on a full charge. Previously detailed in an earlier news story, the updated MG ZS has now landed and interestingly, sits in the same price bracket as the MG4 EV. It features a more upright, boxier body shape that makes it easy to draw comparisons with the BYD Atto 3, but within the MG lineup, it’s a more conservative alternative to the forward design of the MG4.
