SINGAPORE

Following the world premiere of the new Macan that was held at the Gardens by the Bay, and the International Dealer Launch Event at Marina Bay area, Porsche has once again placed Singapore in the global spotlight.

Porsche has announced Singapore as the location for its 11th Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) globally. Strategically located just 20 minutes away from Changi Airport, the upcoming 9-Hectare Porsche Experience Centre will stand to be the first driving-centric establishment in Singapore, to provide dynamic driving experiences to both locals and regional visitors. The upcoming PEC boasts a dynamic handling track spanning over two kilometres, serving as an ideal arena to showcase the capabilities of the entire range of Porsche offerings. The cutting-edge establishment will also feature a fully integrated, high capacity aftersales facility – a pioneering feature unprecedented in any other PECs worldwide.

In line with Porsche’s effort to achieving a net carbon-neutral value chain for its newly manufactured vehicles by 2030, and in alignment with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030, aimed at promoting sustainable development, the PEC Singapore fleet will prominently showcase a substantial selection of electric vehicles (EVs), providing environmentally friendly yet exhilarating driving experiences. Apart from the track, the upcoming PEC also promises engaging activities for families. These include a diverse range of experiences consisting of themed exhibitions, rotating displays featuring iconic cars from the Porsche Musuem’s archives, immersive racing simulators, and a selection of dining options.

With offerings tailored to suit every type of enthusiast, PEC is guaranteed to create an unforgettable experience for all visitors. Minister for Sustainability and Environment; Trade Relations Singapore, Grace Fu first made the announcement for the opening of the new Porsche Experience Centre in Singapore at the Tourism Industry Conference 2024. Melissa Ow, CEO of Singapore Tourism Board, expressed excitement, stating that PEC highlighted its contribution to Singapore’s high-quality lifestyle offerings, and its potential to enhance the Changi precinct, as-well-as the potential to boost the economy. Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific, emphasised Singapore’s strategic importance in Southeast Asia and expressed enthusiasm for the groundbreaking project. He highlighted Porsche’s commitment to delivering excitement to customers and fans, while also underlining Singapore’s role as a gateway to the Southeast Asian market. Ruoff stressed at the importance of offering inclusive experiences for the whole family at the new PEC in Singapore. Currently, there are 9 PECs worldwide, including locations in Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Germany’s Hockenheimring, Franciacorta, Italy and Tokyo. The next PEC set for completion is Toronto, which will be slated to open its doors in 2024.
