SINGAPORE

BMW customers now have a second choice when shopping for a car in Singapore, as the brand’s second official dealership, Eurokars Auto (EKA), is open for business.

Managed by the Eurokars Group, the largest privately-owned automotive group here, the new dealership will offer the full range of BMW cars for sale, including the full complement of models from regular cars, to BMW i electric cars, and M high performance models, including the red hot M3, M4, and M5. It also offers full BMW aftersales service and parts support.

For now, EKA operates at a temporary showroom on 11 Leng Kee Road 159051, which is open from 8.30am to 7.00pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10.00am to 6.00pm on Sundays.

As reported in an earlier story on this website, BMW Asia appointed a second dealer alongside its first dealership, Performance Motors Limited (PML), to further increase brand sales in Singapore. For a high profile brand like BMW, it’s nigh unprecedented to have a second dealership owned by a different dealership group in Singapore.

The Eurokars Group, headed by executive chairman Karsono Kwee and executive director Charmain Kwee, is no stranger to selling cars across the spectrum. It is the official importer of Pagani cars across Southeast Asia, along with operating the official dealerships for Rolls-Royce, Mini, Mazda, McLaren, Pagani, and MG in Singapore. The group also holds dealerships for many automotive brands in Australia, Indonesia, and China.

Managing director of BMW Group Asia, Lars Nielsen, remarked, “The automotive industry is undergoing massive transformation. As the mobility needs of our customers are always evolving, it is important we continue to deliver products and experiences that excite the imagination. It is therefore befitting that we welcome Eurokars Auto as the newest member of the BMW family in Singapore; they are an established player in the market that customers have come to trust and value over the years.”

Eurokars Auto representatives CarBuyer spoke to at the opening of the showroom said that the company intends to stand out by applying the same high level of customer service and support as seen across the Eurokars Group, which deals with everything from super-limited exotica and hyper-luxury to affordable mainstream cars.

The present Eurokars Auto showroom has space to display 10 cars and a single delivery bay. It is a temporary facility that will serve until the new permanent structure at 29 Leng Kee Road, presently housing the Porsche dealership, and 11 Kung Chong Road are renovated. Operations are planned to begin from the new showrooms in stages, beginning from the second quarter of 2023.
