The new appointment will see Hong Seh Evolution push sales of DSFK Commercial and SERES 3 to customers in both Singapore and New Zealand

SINGAPORE

Hong Seh Evolution has been appointed as the sole distributor of SERES Group DFSK Commercial Electric Vehicles in Singapore and New Zealand.

Formerly known as Sokon Group, the company changed its name to SERES Group in July 2022 as part of strategic planning and efforts to unify its brand image.

Executive director of Hong Seh Evolution, Mr Edward Tan, travelled to Chongqing, China to meet with Mr Zhang XingYan, general manager of import and export, SERES Group to sign the agreement for sole distributor rights of DFSK Commercial for New Zealand.

Sales director of DFSK & SERES, Mr David Luo said, “with Hong Seh’s vast experience in the automotive market and group’s abundance resources, we are confident that they will be able to nurture and propel the sales of DSFK Commercial and SERES 3 to customers in both Singapore and New Zealand.”

In the coming months, DFSK looks forward to its launch of DFSK EC31 Electric Refrigerated Truck which aims to redefine the EV commercial vehicle market. The company is also planning the launch of the SERES 3 EV where customers can expect deliveries by the second half of 2023.

Hong Seh, as a forerunner in electrification in Singapore, pioneered the electric car sector with the imports of Tesla in 2018. Since then, they have announced plans to begin selling commercial EV vehicles in late 2020. In 2022, Hong Seh Evolution led DFSK sales to become one of Singapore’s top three commercial EV market leaders.
